US50/SR89 roundabout completion to be marked with public ceremony

MEYERS, Calif. - Caltrans has completed its U.S. Highway 50/Highway 89 Roundabout Project. They will be joined by partner agencies on Thursday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the $4.1 million project that converted a T-intersection into a three-leg roundabout with a bypass lane.
Caltrans Project Manager Martin Clark, El Dorado County Supervisor Sue Novasel, Tahoe Regional Planning Executive Director Joanne Marchetta, Tahoe Transportation District Board Chairman Steve Teshara, Q&D Construction Vice President Jeff Bean will be on hand.
This is the first roundabout on a state highway in El Dorado County.
The ceremony will be at the roundabout in the shoulder area of westbound Highway 50 (see photo). The public is invited to attend.
