South Lake Tahoe man arrested after marijuana and heroin found in Nevada County

A 23-year-old man from South Lake Tahoe was arrested after a narcotics task force tackled a large marijuana grow in Nevada County that resulted in the arrests of seven people, officers said.
The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said they served a search warrant at about 11 a.m. Wednesday on Kentucky Flat Road for a man involved in marijuana cultivation.
Officers found 20 people on the property, in addition to marijuana stalks in a large burn pile along with a marijuana scent coming from one of the two buildings on the property, according to officials.
Investigators said they obtained a search warrant and discovered several hundred pounds of processed marijuana, 33.58 grams of heroin, a mason jar full of opium poppies, a large indoor marijuana processing area with 17 active processing stations and nearly $17,000.....rest of story.
