The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in the theft of purses in two separate incidents in Stateline on October 22, 2016.
In a press release today, DCSO said two different victims used the restrooms at both MontBleu and Harrah's Tahoe between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Within minutes, both women could not locate their purses.
After a review of camera surveillance, a black female adult wearing a black jacket and blue jeans entered the restroom at both casinos with a large black handbag that appears empty. When the suspect exits, it appears that the black handbag is full. Both victims had cash, credit cards and passports taken.
A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the suspect. Your identity is not needed and you will remain anonymous. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call DCSO Dispatch at (775) 782-5126 or Douglas County Secret Witness at: 775-78-CRIME (775-782-7463) or DCSO Investigator Jarrod Guilford (775)586-7256.
