Man who died after leaving SnowGlobe to be honored during Rose Parade

Hunter Weiss was 20-years-old when he attended the annual SnowGlobe Music Festival in South Lake Tahoe and was heading home to Reno on New Year's Day 2018. He and a friend pulled their vehicle over to sleep and left a propane heater on in the front of the truck to stay warm. Hunter died of carbon monoxide poisoning but his friend survived due to an open window on his side of the vehicle.
Weiss had been an organ donor and his corneas gave the gift of sight to two people, one whom had never seen before.
On the first anniversary of his death, Weiss's donation will be honored on the Donate Life float, an annual entry in the Rose Parade that focuses on signing up to be organ donors. Along with donors across the county his face has been created as a floragraph which will be featured in a circle on the float. The floragraph is made of 100 percent natural materials, a requirement for the parade.
Weiss was the Nevada Donor Network's choice for the float and they held a "Floragraph Finishing Ceremony" in Reno Thursday.
"Weiss tragically passed away and he made the decision to give the gift of healing to others prior to his passing. Thank you to everyone who put their personal touch and feelings into his Floragraph and we can’t wait to see it in the 2019 Tournament of Roses - Rose Parade," the nonprofit posted on their Facebook page.
Here is Hunter's story on the Donate Life website:
Hunter Alexander Weiss was born June 30, 1997. He was the second twin born prematurely that day, and he spent 41 days in the NICU with his twin brother. Growing up, Hunter was a stubborn child with a good heart. He was passionate about everything, about life. As time went on, his artistic side started coming out. He loved music, and wanted to make a career of it somehow. When Hunter was 14, he had a seizure one morning before school. Doctors diagnosed him with a growth on the left side of his brain, and he was later transported to Oakland’s Children’s Hospital, where he eventually had surgery. He stayed in the hospital for a month to recover. It was not surprising that Hunter had registered to be a donor, and ultimately gave the gift of sight to two people, so they can see the beauty in this world.
