Message from Heavenly: We received an incredible 24" of new, fluffy powder over the last 24 hours making for one of the best days to ride in years. With the new snow from last nights storm, we are reporting around 70" of new snow over the past week which means today, we will be opening Galaxy lift! The forecast is calling for a cold, and relatively calm Christmas day, with light to moderate N winds. Our team is currently assessing operations, and there may be some delays this morning as our team is digging out and getting the mountain ready for opening after all this new snow, but we do plan on being fully operational today. Please stay tuned for any updates. We will have 26 lifts spinning from 8:30am-4:00pm giving access to 93 runs. Our groomers suggest Ridge Run in CA, and Orion in NV as their trail picks of the day and I recommend checking these runs out asap! With the cold temps today, don't forget to bundle up, and wear lots of layers to stay warm.
