Cold temperatures and some snow in forecast for Lake Tahoe

There is a fast moving low pressure system headed to the Sierra Nevada late Sunday. It is a cold system without much moisture. Up to an inch of snow in the lower elevations, though some weather models show 2 to 4 inches with up to 6 inches at the higher elevations.
The forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today - Partly sunny, with a high near 36. West wind around 5 mph.
Tonight - Scattered snow showers between 10pm and 4am, then snow likely after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Monday - Snow likely before 10am, then scattered snow showers, mainly between 10am and 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. West wind around 5 mph becoming north in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Monday Night - Isolated snow showers before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Tuesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. East wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 12.
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 35.
Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 6.
Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 33.
Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 11.
New Year's Day - Sunny, with a high near 36.
Friday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 12.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 36.
