TWCF is a collective giving organization created in 2015. Through a simple grant making process, the annual proceeds from membership provide financial support to nonprofits that address pressing issues facing the communities of Lake Tahoe.
Tahoe Women's Community Fund - $328,000 in annual giving to date
Submitted by paula on Sat, 08/15/2020 - 7:29pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - In just five years, the Tahoe Women’s Community Fund has been able to give $328,000 back to the community through 37 different non-profits on the South Shore.
Attached is their annual report for 2020.
Formed in 2015, the collective giving organization is able to support nonprofits that address pressing issues facing the community through a simple grant process. In 2020 they are awarding their most yet, $125,000.

Tickets are on sale now for $35 each and can be purchased online at tahoewomenscommunityfund.org.

Tahoe Women's Community Fund announces winners of $68,000 in grants

During their 2018 grant cycle, over 25 organizations applied for grants and 13 of them are being supported by TWCF and will be honored during their Grants Gala
on Wednesday, May 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Tahoe Beach Retreat in South Lake Tahoe.

With over 150 in attendance, we celebrated the success of our collective giving circle! Dr. Guy Lease gave an inspiring keynote speech on "The Power of Education in Our Community", and Karin Holmes was honored as our first annual Woman of Distinction! The positive strength in the room was amazing!

With a fun filled evening of raffle prizes, popcorn, and good company, 150 locals raised almost $6,000 for local families. These funds will go into the 2018 grant cycle of the TWCF and will be open for any eligible non-profit to apply for.

Submitted by paula on Sun, 02/19/2017 - 10:33pmThe Tahoe Women's Community Fund has $29,000 to give to South Lake Tahoe non-profit groups and agencies who focus on five critical areas they've selected for funding in 2017. $10,000 grants will be given to those chosen whose focus is children and youth, and mental health and wellness. $3,000 will given in three grants: poverty and housing, education and literacy, and environment and the community.
The Request for Proposals are now available and due back February 28 at 5:00 p.m. They can be found HERE.

Until February 29, organizations serving the community in four different areas can apply for a portion of the $22,000 to be given away.
