Tahoe Women's Community Fund holding annual Grants Gala

Event Date:
May 18, 2017 - 6:00pm

The Tahoe Women's Community Fund will be holding their second annual Grants Gala on Thursday, May 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Tahoe Beach Retreat. They will be awarding grants to their 2017 recipients and hearing back from their 2016 winners on how their funds were put to use.

The Tahoe Women’s Community Fund is a collective giving organization that was created in 2015. Members donate money and then through a simple grant making process, proceeds are awarded to nonprofits that address pressing issues facing the communities of Lake Tahoe.

Tickets are now on sale for $35 and can be purchased on line HERE. They will not be available at the door due to limited space so early registration is encouraged. Tickets will be on sale until sold out or May 11, whichever comes first.

This is the second year of their collective giving. $29,000 will be donated to groups who work in the fields of children, mental health, education and literacy, community and environment, and poverty and housing.

Grant winners:

Saint Joseph Community Land Trust ($10,000)
National Alliance on Mental Illness - NAMI ($5,500)
Between Horses and Humans ($4,500)
Juvenile Service Council ($3,000)
