If you were hanging around Camp Richardson Thursday you may have caught some extra activity on the pier as the comedy series "Modern Family" was being filmed. Reports say the popular show's annual vacation episode is taking place in South Lake Tahoe.

Cast and crew have been seen a local spots enjoying dinner, including Edgewood Tahoe and star Sofia Vergara and the show's children actors, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, have all posted on Twitter and Instagram about their Lake Tahoe adventures.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It was a beautiful day for the arts as the second annual “Will’s Kids” art fair took place at Valhalla Tahoe on Friday, August 4th. The event drew three hundred local youth and their families to see a free performance of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s D.G. Menchetti Young Shakespeare Program. The Young Shakespeare Program takes the mainstage Shakespeare performance from the annual Sand Harbor festival and condenses it to a one hour version accessible for children. This year was the slapstick romantic comedy, Love’s Labour’s Lost.

How do you spell F-U-N? Six awkward tweens vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime in this fast-paced, Tony Award-winning musical comedy that is coming to the stage of the Valhalla Boathouse Theater at Tallac Historic Site in South Lake Tahoe for three weekends in July.

Music lovers on the South Shore have a full spectrum of acts to listen to this summer. So far, 13 acts have been booked at the Harvey's Outdoor Arena and MontBleu has 10 nights of music booked to date.

South Tahoe High School's Drama Department is presenting their spring production "You Can't Take It With You" March 24 to April 1 in the school's TADA (Tahoe Arts & Design Academy) Theater.

This delightful, fast paced, classic comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman centers around the Sycamore family and their zany household. It is a story of young love in a family that defies convention and will have you laughing at the absurd situations and leaving the theatre with a warm contented feeling.

South Lake Tahoe, Calif. — Have some laughs and escape the winter blues with a night of off-the-wall, original comedy provided by Random Acts of Improv, the resident improvisation company of the Theatre Arts Department at Lake Tahoe Community College. The fun takes place Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in LTCC’s Duke Theatre, inside the Fine Arts building on campus.

Due to college closures and extreme weather and power outages, Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) has rescheduled auditions for their winter production, Love/Sick until Tuesday, January 17 at 7:00 p.m. in LTCC’s Duke Theatre.

There are roles in the play for men and women of various ages and types for the play which was written by John Cariani. Performances of Love/Sick take place March 17-26, 2017.

As the annual Shakespeare Festival on the North Shore winds down, organizers want to alert Bard fans of possible delays on getting to the event at Sand Harbor, both from the north and the south ends of the lake.

Construction has begun on Highway 28, and continues on Highway 50 around Cave Rock and on Spooner Summit. Lane closures are involved, so allow extra time to get to the the park which is located just south of Incline Village.

Four-legged friends will celebrated at the 7th annual Peaks and Paws Festival when it returns to Squaw Valley on Saturday, August 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Village this special day set aside for pets and will be full of pet-friendly guided hikes up the mountain, specialty pet vendors, contests, flying dog show, music and more.

Mountain Resort Television reporter Dillon McKeen brings us the info on the Truckee Bike Park and Will's Kids, a new fundraiser to bring the art back into the South Lake Tahoe community for the younger set. Kili Ongoy from the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe shares the event information.

Charles Barkley, Justin Timberlake, and Steve Kerr and Andre Iguodala of the Golden State Warriors lead a group of 90 sports and entertainment stars coming to South Lake Tahoe for the 27th annual American Century Championship, July 19 – 24, 2016. Many were hoping to see Steph Curry on the list, but with the Olympic Games in Rio just after the tournament, speculation is that he had to skip the stop in Tahoe.

Bodies will be dropping like flies as mystery, chaos, and laughter prevail during The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, a Hollywood murder mystery being performed by by the Theatre Arts Department at Lake Tahoe Community College.

The play, written by John Bishop and directed by Susan Boulanger, will be at the school's Duke Theater March 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees on March 13 and 20 at 2 p.m.

Lake Tahoe radio host, standup comedian and emcee of the Improv at Harveys, Howie Nave is among 62 Nevada radio and television personalities and managers who will be inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Nave, who has been with KRLT FM 93.9 as host of “Howie’s Morning Rush” at Lake Tahoe for nearly 15 years, will be inducted at the Four Seasons Hotel. He joins the ranks of more than 800 broadcasters from around Nevada who make up the Hall of Fame.

June Joplin, the beloved owner of Comma Coffee in Carson City is a talented jazz vocalist who is bringing her show, Me and Bobby McGee, to the Valhalla Art, Music and Theatre Festival in South Lake Tahoe on July 15.

The show will be in the historic 1920's boat house turned theater located at the Tallac Historic Site.

Queens from foreign lands, juggling jesters, winsome wenches, lords and ladies, knight of horseback, squires and simpletons will all converge in South Lake Tahoe over two weekends for the 23rd annual Valhalla Renaissance Faire. Camp Richardson is turned into a Renaissance village for the popular event that draws several thousand people during the two weekend run.

The fun costumed festival will be held May 30 and 31, and June 5, 6 and 7.

Jordan, The Science Wizard mixes exciting science experiments with his comedy to entertain children. He will perform his show Super Cool Chemistrythat will include melting, oozing, smoking, and bubbling experiments and a special bonus where the children can “see the biggest, foamiest, gooiest, bubbliest demonstration ever”.
