Gift idea for friends or family: Donating to Camp Fire victims in their name

If you're like most this holiday season, you've been busy trying to find the perfect gift for loved ones on your list. You've hit the malls, shopped online, browsed the catalogs and spent your free time shopping.
For some it's easy to figure out what to buy them, but for those who already have everything, it's not so easy.
Instead of searching for what to give, especially for the adults in our life, how about doing something that will help those who lost everything and now need everything?
You can do this by giving to the Camp Fire Relief Fund at the El Dorado Community Foundation.
Outgoing Mayor Wendy David and her family are doing just this instead of exchanging gifts this year for the adults.
"I cannot think of a better way for our family to count our blessings and feel thankful for how much we already have than to reach out and give to our neighbors that have lost so much," said Wendy. "Your gift will help make a difficult and sorrowful holiday season just a bit better for the fire victims and much better for each of us in the giving."
All funds raised will go directly to the El Dorado Community Foundation and then to support those affected by the fire with no administrative costs. Once the donation is made a card will be sent to your loved one, alerting them of the donation in their name.
