South Tahoe Vikings win a thriller after double overtime

There was excitement on the hill Saturday afternoon as the South Tahoe Vikings beat the Sparks Railroaders in double-overtime, 57-55.
Tommy Cefalu hit two free throws as time ran out to seal the deal for South Tahoe.
It was "Senior Day," a day where all senior basketball players, cheerleaders and dance team members were honored in a pre-game ceremony.
There is no box score available at this time.
The Vikings have earned a place in the playoffs with a record of 9-5, which puts them in third place so far. There are still two regular games for STHS, a February 12 game in Spring Creek and a February 13 game at Elko.
First round of playoffs begin at North Valleys High in Reno on Thursday, February 18 with the third seed against sixth, fourth against fifth. The winners of those games will move onto the third round against the first and second seeds.The tournament concludes on February 20.
