Home & Garden Show to feature everything from authors to roof systems

The 5th annual Lake Tahoe Home and Garden Show will be held April 22 and 23 at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Complex on Rufus Allen Blvd. The show will begin on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and run until 7:30 p.m. Saturday hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission to the show is free, and each attendee will receive a small gift and be entered into a chance to win a door prize.

A variety of vendors will offer items for the home and garden, including clothing, jewelry, garden art, hand made furniture and lamps, plants, chemical free cleaning agents, food, candles, essential oils, kitchen items, and services for home repairs and remodeling, personal development, solar power, and more. Several non-profit organizations will be on hand to answer questions about how they help the community and a number of organizations will offer information on defensible space, animal care, health, and community services.

"Upgrade your Party" will offer face painting and the Lake Tahoe Humane Society will offer a children's coloring area.

A special silent auction will be held for a basket including the use of a six yard dumpster. The basket is donated by South Tahoe Refuse and will benefit the Lake Tahoe Cancer League and the Lake Tahoe Humane Society. The show is sponsored by Kadzoom Technologies, Everything Tahoe, Lake Tahoe SKIBUM, Mountain Roofing, and the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce.
