Love is a National Treasure art show in South Lake Tahoe

Scott Forrest Fine Art Studio is hosting the second annual exhibit of “Love is a National Treasure” on Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. “Love is a National Treasure” is a South Lake Tahoe event where Pride meets Art. This annual exhibit is designed to bring people together, showcase the diversity of our community, and celebrate Pride Month.

This event is free and open to the public and all ages are welcome. Enjoy appetizers, listen to the music of Annie Davidson, mix and mingle, and support your community. This event is a fundraiser for the Lake Tahoe Pride Equality Scholarship offered at Lake Tahoe Community College. Donations will be accepted at the event, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of art will go to the scholarship. The exhibit will also be available for viewing June 28-30 from noon to 6:00 p.m. each day.

Scott Forrest Fine Art Studio opened earlier this year. Scott Forrest’s work is part of the permanent collection at The Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles and has graced the pages of Rolling Stone, Newsweek, and Spin Magazine. Forrest’s painting “Atomic Sunflower” was chosen as an iconic image by CBS Television’s show “Sunday Morning” and is currently displayed at the Harrah Estate in Zephyr Cove, NV.

Eva Salyer, John Benko, Tryston Benko, Ellen Nunes, Featherpistol, Claudia Garza, Sarah Metzler, Jamie Monozon, Yvonne McGrath, Rasjad Hopkins, Cathryn Powell, and Dave Justice are among the many artists scheduled to show in this year’s event. Dave Justice’s “American Flag” currently hangs in the City Art Gallery at South Lake Tahoe City Hall.

The Scott Forrest Fine Art Studio is located at 2572 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe.
