South Lake Tahoe and Meyers Climbing Festival

The first Lake Tahoe and Meyers Climbing Festival and Bouldering Competition will be on Saturday, Sept. 17. This first-time event is held in and around the town of Meyers, four miles outside South Lake Tahoe. Get out and climb, meet other members of the climbing community, and celebrate the outdoor adventure lifestyle. Beer garden from Divided Sky and local breweries. Live music from Safe Haven Chiropractic and Food from Tahoe Bouldering.com. This event is free to attend and climb. A small fee for competitors: this includes and T-Shirt from Rise Graphics, Lunch from Golden Bear BBQ and the ability to win and score free stuff and cash! While supporting the Access Fund and Local Tahoe Charities.
Some of the best developed climbing in South Lake Tahoe is on the numerous granite boulders scattered throughout the community of Meyers. Over 100 climbs will be included in the contest ranging from 5.6 to V10 and beyond. Limited guides will be included in the competition format. Follow local groups to new and exclusive areas, and even climb new problems.
We have specifically designed the contest for all ability levels. To make this event fun for the beginner or the pro. This includes friends and spectators. It's a great excuse to pull, push and cheer while climbers test there ability on the scenic granite boulders. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in all divisions and categories.
