Event Date:
January 25, 2013 - 2:00pm Milky Way Incorporated dba The Coyote Grill has set Friday, January 25th for its long-awaited ‘Grand Re-Opening’ said Coyote Grill owner, Leland Faegre whose expansion has more than doubled the size of its current business model.
The Coyote Grill’s long anticipated expansion to include live performances and karaoke, pizza, gaming and varietal coffees and espressos began with its purchase in July of 2009. An idea Faegre says, “whose time has come to Zephyr Cove, and conspicuously absent from the Nevada side of the South Shore is any venue for young performers to demonstrate and develop their vocal, instrumental and songwriting disciplines in a professional environment.”
Faegre, who acquired a 20% equity stake in KTHO [K-Tahoe, Local Talk and Classic Rock] in March of 2012, will begin the ‘Grand Re-Opening’ Celebration by hosting ‘The Knuckleheads’ with ‘The Insane Darrell Wayne’ [which also streams live at www.kthoradio.com and www.kdsk.com on the World Wide Web] on Wednesday, January 23rd from 7 - 10pm live from the Coyote Grill for their ‘Soft Opening.’
The celebration resumes Friday, January 25th with the official ‘Grand Re-Opening’ beginning at 2:00 PM with the demolition of an adjoining wall with local charities, dignitaries and patrons participating.
“Mr. Faegre, Tear Down This Wall” has been Coyote Grill’s promotional theme for the event whose commercials have been running on 96.1 FM and AM 590, K-Tahoe. Those interested in helping ‘Tear Down This Wall’ should contact the Coyote Grill at 775.586.1822 to schedule a segment. The entire event will also be broadcast live on KTHO from the Coyote Grill and videotaped for future television commercials.
Faegre continued on his partnership with ‘The Insane Darrell Wayne,’ “Early on in our discussions, Darrell revealed his interest in developing content for a program of live, local performances and the concept was exactly what I was already planning for the Coyote Grill.”
“Darrell and I would like to broadcast from the Coyote Grill several times a week. The contiguous space,” Faegre continued, “will facilitate a large designated entertainment area capable of accommodating various professional entertainment, musical and comedy touring acts.”
Located in the Round Hill Square Shopping Center on the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe, Faegre believes the Coyote Grill will be the Tahoe Basin’s “most locally attractive restaurant, tavern, live performance and gaming destination.”
"With personal feedback from patrons aware of the plan unanimously favorable," Faegre added, “It will serve as the cornerstone of our formative expansion-in-progress, attracting new and existing customers by providing attractive performances, originating new revenue streams from gaming not currently possible and extending our hours of operation."
“The necessary provisional space for entertainment and gaming,” Faegre said, “will also make possible the opportunity for expanded coffee and espresso choices from our Gardnerville-based, strategic partner Blind Dog Coffee, filling an aromatic vacuum created by the vacancy of ‘Not Just Java,’ a previously popular, coffee-centric business model in Round Hill Square.”
Additionally, the acquired entertainment space will also accommodate catering, large variable group functionality and from in-house technical capability extending value to the Coyote Grill brand and customer loyalty, long-imagined internet and terrestrial radio and television broadcasting with its strategic partner, AM 590 and 96.1 FM, KTHO: ‘Local Talk and Classic Rock.’
The Coyote Grill Sports, Entertainment and Gaming Center will serve a wide demographic spectrum of patronage from Zephyr Cove in Douglas County, Nevada [20,927 people within a five mile radius and an average household income of approximately $109,779 a census-designated place (CDP)].
