Event Date:
June 25, 2013 - 6:00pm The Friends of the Library are honored to host Leon Malmed, the author of We Survived...At Last I Speak, the true story of his and his sister’s escape from the Holocaust, in Occupied France, with the help of their courageous and heroic French neighbors.
It is a story of goodness triumphing once more over evil. In addition to sharing his book, the documentary, "17 rue St Fiacre" realized by Daniel Meyers, a Steve Spielberg collaborator, will also be shown.
Mr. Malmed will have books available for purchase and signing, with $5 of every book purchased being donated to the Library. Join us for this free event at the South Lake Tahoe Library. For questions e-mail Tahoe.Programs@gmail.com, or call (530) 573-3185.
