Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 09/27/2018 - 4:18pm
Event Date:
October 13, 2018 - 10:00am Jen Dulyanai will present a program on Safety for Women during the next American Association of University Women (AAUW) on Saturday, October 13 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Tahoe Community College.
There will be a discussion on awareness and conscious prevention of problems whether one travels to the Bay Area or abroad. Consideration of societal and cultural attitudes in the form of negative safety training and how to change our own attitudes towards safety will also be discussed. We will end with a "magic phrase" and what to do if it becomes physical. Most of the presentation will focus on resolving issues before they get to the point of confrontation.
Light refreshments will be served. This program will be held in the college's Roberta Mason Library in the Aspen/Board Room.
Presenter Bio:
Jen and Mark Dulyanai have operated Blue Lake Aikido for 18 years, training human beings ages 5+ to lead safer and more compassionate lives. Mark also works in the field of law enforcement.
