South Lake Tahoe Voted Best Ski Destination

South Lake Tahoe was voted the Best Ski Destination in a highly contested USA Today reader ski poll conducted over the past four weeks.

Citing the beautiful views and fantastic skiing, voters were able to choose their favorite ski destination daily. Sun Valley, Idaho came in second with North Lake Tahoe in third, which shows everyone how popular Lake Tahoe skiing is as a whole.

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Lake Tahoe Visitor's Authority put out reminders for people to vote, as did SouthTahoeNow.com and other local businesses. The campaign worked as put South Lake Tahoe as the #1 Ski Destination. In 2012, South Lake Tahoe was voted the #1 Lake in America in a contest also run by USA Today.
