Ribbon cuttings welcome in two new Lake Tahoe businesses

The Tahoe Chamber and South Lake Tahoe community members stopped by two ribbon cutting ceremonies on Friday, one at Doob Lake Tahoe in the Heavenly Village and the other at TaCo. Cantina and Restaurant at Harveys Tahoe.

Doob Lake Tahoe offers photo-realistic 3D printed replicas that will celebrate life's biggest and smallest moments, as well as everything in between. Longtime local Tom Davis has partnered with John M. Coyle to open the South Lake Tahoe location for the German company.

“Technology and art can be merged to create something brand new for the community to be excited about, at the same time enriching the arts of the Lake Tahoe area,” said Davis. “Our motto is live life in 3D which is why we love being a part of someone’s wedding, baby announcement, graduation, and other milestones of life.”

Celebrating all the big and small moments can be one of the best experiences to have at Doob. They are located at 1001 Heavenly Village Way #30A next to Rocky Mountain Chocolates and is open daily 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

TaCo. Cantina & Restaurant is the latest restaurant to call the bottom floor of Harveys Tahoe home, and this time tacos and entertainment are the featured fare. Patrons will enjoy the south-of-the-border style cuisine, beverages and ambience which will have in-house disc jockey Chris English on Thursdays and Sundays, and live local music on Fridays and Saturdays. TaCo Tuesdays, gourmet tacos and specialty drinks will be featured at TaCo.

James Redlark, the manager of the new restaurant, graduated from Whittell High School and was most recently the manager of Q's BBQ in Carson City. Another new face to TaCo. is Assistant Manager Joseph Sheeketski who once taught at Carson High School.
