Al Roker to discuss climate change at Tahoe's Operation Sierra Storm

Al Roker of NBC’s Today Show fame, will discuss his passion, interest and concerns about climate change, as well as his storied career as keynote speaker at Operation Sierra Storm, the annual television meteorologists’ conference at Lake Tahoe. The public is invited to tune in via Facebook to watch Roker on Monday, January 25.
Operation Sierra Storm (OSS) in an annual weather conference held on the South Shore. Due to health and safety restrictions, the public is unable to attend Monday's event in person, but they are welcome to participate via Facebook.
The free public Facebook event is from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The schedule:

As head of the NBC Climate unit, Roker has traveled the globe witnessing and reporting on the drastic effects of climate change. From his “Climate Conversations,” breaking down climate topics for kids to his hard-hitting coverage, Roker has been a leader is keeping news of the topic at the forefront of American discussion.
OSS will be held on the South Shore Jan. 24-27, 2021. The cutting-edge meteorological forum and seminar is for network television meteorologists from around the country. OSS features leading scientists and experts discussing newsworthy weather and science topics, and provides ongoing education, networking, and live broadcast opportunities. The conference reinforces South Lake Tahoe’s reputation as a leading winter destination through online, print, digital and TV outlets in major markets.
