Snowboarder Dies at Heavenly Ski Resort

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has reported that an 18 year old snowboarder from Fountain Valley, CA died at Heavenly Ski Resort on Tuesday, February 4.
Ski Patrol was called when Wyatt James Colvard was found lying in the snow, unconscious and having difficulty breathing. They transported him to Boulder Lodge. When Tahoe Douglas Paramedics arrived at the lodge they began advanced life support. Colvard succumbed to his injuries.
Since there were no witnesses and autopsy was completed and preliminary findings show that the snowboarder died due to internal injuries from blunt force trauma.
An investigation is continuing according to Sgt. Pat Brooks of the Tahoe Douglas Sheriff's Department.
