Snow and heavy rain forecast for Lake Tahoe this week

A winter storm warning is in effect for the Lake Tahoe basin from 10:00 p.m. Sunday night through Monday at 10:00 p.m. with up to 10" of snow forecast for lake level.
As the snow passes Monday night, heavy rains will hit the Sierra, Reno and the Carson Valley with flooding possible in areas of poor drainage, creeks and streams. Rivers may see some rise with the rains.
Chains controls were up on all mountain roads Sunday night.
Forecast from the National Weather Service:
Tonight - Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 10pm. Low around 31. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Monday - Rain and snow. Temperature falling to around 30 by 4pm. Windy, with a southwest wind around 30 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Monday Night - Rain and snow. Temperature rising to around 48 by 5am. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Tuesday - Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 49. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Tuesday Night - Rain. Low around 36. Breezy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Wednesday - Rain likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Wednesday Night - A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38.
Thursday - A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Breezy.
Thursday Night - Rain. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Breezy.
Friday - A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Breezy.
Friday Night - A slight chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.
Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 39.
Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 23.
Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 43.
