Whittell wins sixth straight; League record now 13-1

The defending Division 4 State Champion Whittell Warriors are beginning the final weekend of regular season action with an impressive record. Overall, they are 21-2 and in league play they are 13-1. Their only loss of the season is to league leading Virginia City.
On Thursday night Whittell won their sixth straight game by beating Sage Creek 70-13.
Every Warrior ended up on the score board led by Palmer Chaplin's 11 points. Three teammates had 10 points: Colin Buchholz, Bryce Bronken and Quinn Kixmiller. All of those players are juniors except senior Bronken.
Freshman Troy Libert followed with 8 points, senior Jake Sharp had 6, freshman Caleb Moretti got 5 of his own and the rest of the Warriors in the scoring effort were Corey Huber (4), Peyton Galli (2), Andy Delgado (2) ad Osvaldo Reyes-Lucero (2).
The walls of the South Shore high school will be rocking on Friday as Whittell hosts Virginia City. The game between Whittell (21-2, 11-1 home) and Virginia City (22-2, 6-0 away) at 7:30 p.m. The girls game will start at 6 p.m.
Whittell wraps up the regular season on Saturday with an away game against Sierra Lutheran.
