Dear, South Lake Tahoe:
As a young entrepreneur and budding journalist, I am grateful for the support that I have earned from our community, my editors, Lake Tahoe Community College, and the City of South Lake Tahoe government and government officials! It warms my heart to have the values, morals, and message that I am trying to spread be so welcomed.
I am writing to you, though, South Lake Tahoe because I need your help. Our young girls from elementary school to college age and older are falling victim to commercialized beauty standards. Some of them have developed eating disorders, low self-esteem and worse.
I need women ranging from age 18 and older to share their message of what beauty means to them. Let’s show these young girls what true beauty means from the local women that lead them, interact with them and inspire them.
Join me February 22nd from 6-8 pm in the Board/Aspen room at Lake Tahoe Community College to be filmed for my video called: “South Shore Women Redefine Beauty.”
As always, I will remain grateful for the support that I receive for this filming. I hope to see all of the wonderful and inspiring women we have in the South Shore there!
Truly Yours,
Blue Marie Balcita
