Event Date:
March 5, 2018 - 6:00pm
The City of South Lake Tahoe will hold their third City Art Gallery opening on March 5 at City Hall starting at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited.
The Tahoe Arts Alliance has selected Nick Akins as the featured artist. His art will be on display from March 5-June 15, 2018. Akins has been painting for 20 years in a style that he describes as graffiti art. Due to a scheduling conflict, Akins will not be in attendance of the art gallery opening.
The City of South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe Arts Alliance have partnered on each gallery reception, honoring local artists including the work of students. The alliance connects artists, businesses and organizations on the South Shore, and the City’s lobby serves as a blank canvas to display local artists. The art will be rotated throughout the year and all art will be available for purchase
