NAMI hosting free legal seminar to help navigate mental illness treatment and support

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There is a free legal seminar on Friday, March 8 to help caregivers and family members of those with mental illness navigate the system to remove barriers and improve access to care for their loved ones in South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding communities.
Hillary Hansen, JD, will provide an overview of the mental health system and how legal advocacy can remove barriers to accessing treatment and supports. Hillary Hansen is a Staff Attorney at Legal Services of Northern California, a non-profit law firm that provides free legal services to residents of El Dorado County and the surrounding area.
This seminar will be held at Lake Tahoe Community College's Aspen Room from noon to 1:30 p.m. There will be time for questions and answers. The questions can be submitted in advance at f2fnami@gmail.com.
