There were no injuries in Sunday's collision between a Caltrans snow plow and a van in South Lake Tahoe.
At approximately 8:39 p.m. on March 4, 2018, a Caltrans snow plow assisting with the middle lane berm cleanup along Highway 50 in collided with a van.
According to Office Mike Brown of the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the plow driver was heading eastbound near the Lakeview Avenue intersection in the #2 lane (the slow lane) when he saw a white van in the adjacent lane. He told officers that he thought the van had slowed so he started to make a lane change, but it turned out the van hadn't slowed and was in the lane he was moving to.
Brown said it was considered a minor collision and nobody was transported to seek medical care.
