Road controls in place around Lake Tahoe and the Sierra

The Winter of 2019 just doesn't want to let spring make its entrance and another series of small storms will be in the Lake Tahoe and Sierra all week. Snow levels dropped about 500 feet lower than anticipated in heavier precipitation bands with snow currently falling down to 4000-4500 feet this morning.
1-6" of snow has fallen in the Sierra overnight and chain controls remain in effect as of the time of writing. While lighter snow will continue this morning,

Saturday's South Lake Tahoe forecast: Snow before 11 a.m., then a chance of snow showers after 11 a.m.. High near 39. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Tonight it will be mostly clear, with a low around 15. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
