Area teens compete in Rotary Speech Contest

3rd Place: Scarlett Baeza Carson High
4th Place: Siobhanie Cook South Tahoe High School
The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club hosted the Rotary District 5190 Area 9 speech contest finals on Friday, April 15 at MontBleu Resort. Each Rotary club in the area had individual contests, then the winners went onto Friday's Area final.
The topic for the speeches was "Be a Gift to the World."
1st Place: Alessandro Figueroa of Carson High School
3rd Place: Scarlett Baeza Carson High
4th Place: Siobhanie Cook South Tahoe High School
The first place winner will go onto the District Speech Contest finals in Reno in May. This year presenting the awards was Bob Connor, Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 5190 Area 9.
