Long-time South Lake Tahoe resident Allison Mancini is currently at U.C. San Francisco fighting for her life after a bout with pneumonia took a serious turn when she got a strain of flu that left her unconscious and unresponsive.
Sepsis and life-threatening infections caused Allison to be airlifted from Barton Hospital to San Francisco two weeks ago.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to help her and her family. Her two sons Brian and Dylan, and mother Mary have been by her side and paying for hotels and transportation back and forth from college and South Lake Tahoe. Expenses are mounting at a rapid rate.
Many may know Allison from her infectious smile and activities at the South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge and throughout South Lake Tahoe. At the time of her illness she was working at BioSpirit Spa. Allison also had a cleaning business.
