Grand opening of Splash Day Club at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe postponed

The Splash Day Club at Hard Rock Hotel Lake Tahoe was set to open over the Memorial Day weekend, but wet weather and a chance of thundershowers has caused management to postpone the grand opening.

“We’ve been ramping up for the opening of Splash Day Club, but we want to do it right with the best conditions possible,” said Chris Fiumara, vice president and general manager of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. “Plus, it’s no secret this area needs some serious precipitation, so we’ll take it.”

According to weather forecasters, it looks like up to a 90 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms throughout the weekend with highs in the 50s.

Once the club does open it will be a cross between high-energy nightlife and fun in the sun at the swimming pool. They will feature all-star DJs including RCA Nashville recording artist and top-touring DJ, remixer and producer Dee Jay Silver and national and international spin artist Loczi throughout the summer weekends.

Splash Day Club also offers guests 21 years of age and over lavish poolside amenities and services including private cabanas and day beds, signature drink specials, bottle-service and a seasonal summer menu. During the week, the pool will be open to resort guests only as a complimentary part of their stay.

The South Shore casino will announce the opening at a later date once the forecast is more favorable.
