Driver sought in hit-and-run with bicyclist

The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) is looking for the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclists on State Route 28 in Crystal Bay.
On Wednesday May 23, 2018 at approximately 4:00 p.m., NHP troopers responded to the crash near Stateline Road. Their preliminary investigation shows that a bicyclist was traveling northbound on State Route 28 approaching Stateline Road when the vehicle entered the intersection and made a left turn into the path of the bicyclist. The bicyclist struck the right front of the vehicle and was ejected, landing on the asphalt. The driver fled the scene.
The vehicle has been described by witnesses as a two-tone vehicle that looked like a blue/tan Subaru Outback with Nevada plates. The driver is described as a white male adult, approximately 65 years of age with a white “bushy” mustache.
The bicyclist suffered injuries as a result of the crash.
