Partial Road Closure on Lakeview Avenue for Wednesday Lakeview Commons ceremony

The dedication ceremony of Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach will take place on Wednesday, June 20. To facilitate this event and to minimize the potential for traffic hazards between motor vehicles and pedestrians in this area, a one block section of Lakeview Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 11 a.m., according to the city in a press release. This closure of Lakeview Avenue will include the distance between Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Riverside Avenue. The re-opening of this closure is anticipated to be around 5 p.m.
Lakeview Commons has been designed as a venue to be used for a variety of different community events. The police department advises that this closure will become a common practice when significant sized events warrant the protection of pedestrians crossing Lakeview Avenue between the parking facility on the west and Lakeview Commons on the east side of this intersection.
