Motorcycle accident on Spooner ties up westbound lane

A motorcycle accident with injuries has tied up traffic along Highway 50 near the top of Spooner Summit, according to Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection paramedics on the scene. Initially an air ambulance was called to the accident, believed to have involved a motorcycle and a deer in the westbound lane. Instead the patient was to be transported by ambulance. The accident was reported at around 11:35 a.m.
