One no longer has to leave South Lake Tahoe to get their teaching credential through bachelor's degrees in Liberal Studies and Applied Studies, a Multiple Discipline Teaching Credential and a Masters in Arts in Education.
Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) has teamed up with Brandman University to provide the upper level classes in the new Lisa Maloff University Center starting in Fall, 2018.
There will be an informational presentation by Brandman University on Friday, July 20 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the LTCC Student Commons.
“Being able to provide our community with a pathway towards a teaching career is a win for everyone," LTCC President/Superintendent Jeff DeFranco recently said. "Our community desperately needs teachers, and there are students here in Tahoe who hear that call and now have an avenue for pursuing it without taking on the cost of moving.”
If unable to attend there will be virtual meetings in the future.
