STATELINE, Nev. - The 7th annual TAHOE SHOW Fitness and Bodybuilding Championship presented by Carr Cellular Fitness will be held at the MontBleu Resort Showroom on August 26, 2017 starting at 9:30 a.m.
The NPC-sanctioned event is projected to attract over 2,000 spectators and over 350 athletes who will compete for custom championship trophies and a coveted National Qualification.
New this year is the addition of Bob Cicherillo as Master of Ceremonies. Bob Cicherillo is the Emcee for Joe Weider’s Mr. Olympia, the biggest event in IFBB Professional Bodybuilding. “Normally to have Bob announce your name on stage you have to be an IFBB Pro, but we treat all our athletes like pros so you get this opportunity at the NPC Tahoe Show,” said promoter and founder Chris Minnes.
What is expected to be a blockbuster amateur bodybuilding show promises much more then flexing physiques. "At this event, everyone leaves with something; fitness supplements, apparel, prizes, celebrity photos and a ton of motivation to be fit." added Minnes.
In addition to the bodybuilding contest, the show includes 20 fitness vendors offering up free samples, training advice, and fitness apparel. Top vendors include Carr Cellular Fitness, SWAT FUEL, Infinium Works, Fit Kitchen, Icon Muscle, Str8 Shredded, Cellucor, B.A.R Republic, Thrive Spine Center and FitPro.
"The sport of bodybuilding has changed so much from the days of the 'mass monsters'," said Minnes. "Today we have six men's and women's divisions. These divisions focus on an athletic and balanced look like you'd see on the cover of GQ or Women's Health magazine. Competitors prove that age is just number with competitors as young as 16 and as old as 80!"
Still expect lots of flexing at this visual extravaganza covered by magazines, bloggers, major main stream media and in thousands of tweets, photos and social media fan page posts around the globe.
As the show sells out of tickets annually, producers, in partnership with Carr Cellular Fitness, have solved the problem by streaming the event, making it viewable around the world. "There is nothing like being there in person to feel the energy and excitement of the show; it really gets you motivated," according to Minnes."But if you can't be there, you can join the over 10,000 people who watch the show online."
