Reggae greats Rebelution, Matisyahu at Lake Tahoe's MontBleu Outdoor Event Center

World and reggae greats Rebelution and Matisyahu will bring their Island-fused rock, spirited jams and blissful irie grooves to Lake Tahoe Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the MontBleu Outdoor Events Center.

Known for their grassroots blend of soul and rhythm beats capped with messages of world peace, Rebelution and Matisyahu, along with special guests Collie Buddz and Zion-I, have spent the summer headlining music festivals nationwide on the Good Vibes 2013 Tour. Coming off their successful album "Peace of Mind," Rebelution is recognized among fans and followers as a supergroup that runs the spectrum of reggae influences, with traditional beats building on contemporary sounds of synth, guitar and horns.

Joining them at MontBleu is Matisyahu, who is making his second MontBleu appearance after last year's September concert with the Dirty Heads. Matisyahu mixes reggae and rap with beat-boxing and witty banter for a unique performance style that has earned several Grammy nominations and a massive fan base.

Special guests Collie Buddz, a New Orleans musician raised in Bermuda, came onto the reggae scene in 2007 with his No. 1 Billboard Reggae chart self-titled debut album. He has contributed music to several bands since and is best known for the summer anthem "Come Around." Zion-I, a hip hop duo from Oakland, Calif., is recognized for its mix of live instrumentation and samples and streams of positive, socially conscious lyrics.
