Volunteer opportunities at Bread & Broth

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Bread & Broth is a non-profit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to help ease hunger in the Lake Tahoe South Shore community. They are looking for community members who are interested in joining their dedicated team of volunteers.

Here are a few of the many available volunteer opportunity openings for contributing to Bread & Broth's (B&B) programs:

• Monday Meal cleanup crew members – Once a month help with the cleanup of Grace Hall auditorium and kitchen from 5:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. following the Monday Meal. Cleanup includes takedown of table and chairs, vacuuming, mopping and wiping down kitchen surfaces.

• Volunteer Chairperson Assistant – Update the volunteer roster lists for the Monday Meal and Second Serving teams and compile meal and volunteer statistics. Microsoft excel proficiency is required.

• Jar Donation Collection – Coordinate the Jar Donation Collection program. Collaborate with another B&B volunteer collecting, counting and recording the jar monetary donations on a monthly basis. Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency would be helpful.

• Deep Cleaning Assistant – Support the quarterly deep cleaning of the Grace
Hall kitchen. Help the Deep Cleaning Chairperson with procuring cleaning supplies and assists with the organization and cleaning tasks at the quarterly Deep Cleaning events.

• B&B Advisory Board Secretary – As a member of the B&B Advisory Board, attend and record the minutes of the Quarterly Board Meetings. Ensure all board meeting minutes, handouts, etc. are filed with B&B records. Microsoft Word proficiency is required.
