Kudos: Bread & Broth thanks Moose Lodge #1632

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Thanks to the men and women of South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge #1632 and Bread & Broth Team #3 volunteers, a wonderful meal was served to all of the dinner guests who attended the Monday Meal at St. Theresa Grace Hall February 17. The Moose Lodge sponsored their annual Adopt A Day (AAD) of Nourishment by donating $300 to cover the costs of the food and associated expenses necessary to provide the hot, full-course meal served at the dinner.

At the Monday dinner, it was the tireless and compassionate efforts of the hardworking Bread & Broth (B&B) volunteer cooks and serving crew members, and Scott Blumenthal, SLT Moose Lodge #1632’s Junior Past Governor, who put the evening’s feast together.

According to Scott, the roasted pork chops, homemade apple sauce, gravy, garlic green beans and rice pilaf were “top-notch food for our wonderful people of South Lake Tahoe! Bread & Broth meals are always a blessing.”

Words cannot express the full extent of appreciation that B&Bh holds for our AAD sponsors, like the local Moose Lodge, for their support both monetarily and timewise, to our efforts to ease hunger and help our community members to enjoy a homecooked meal where everyone is treated with kindness and dignity.

In addition to our AAD sponsors, B&B would like to express our thanks to the generous food donations given to our organization by local grocery stores and food serving businesses. B&B is so blessed with the generosity bestowed on our organization by so many in our Lake Tahoe South Shore community.
