The Carson Valley Airporter, a new bus service between Douglas County and Reno, starts up their four round trips daily on Monday, November 17.
Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) awarded Amador Stage Lines more than $365,000 in federal funds to start the service. The bus line has supplied $143,000 in matching funds according to Michelle Gardner, NDOT transit manager.
The two Reno stops will be the National Bowling Museum and the Reno Tahoe International Airport. The Airporter will stop at the Carson City Transit Center and at the Courtyard by Marriott in Carson City. Carson Valley residents can catch the bus at the Carson Valley Inn and Holiday Inn Express in Minden as well as the Gardnerville Community Center. The first bus departing Reno starts at 10:00 a.m. while the first north bound bus leaves the community center at 6:00 a.m. A full schedule can be viewed on line.
Adult round trips from Douglas County are $21.50 for adults and $10.75 for children. Trips from Carson City are adult round trips for $14.50, children $7.25. One way tickets are also available.
