The Tahoe Prosperity Center (TPC) has announced two changes for the organization: a new project manager and membership in the California Stewardship Network.
Chris Fajkos, formerly of the Port of Redwood City, has been named the center's project manager.
“We are thrilled to have Chris join our team to expand high speed internet in the region and support community revitalization work,” said CEO Heidi Hill Drum.
Fajkos was the Manager of Environmental, Security and Safety programs for the Port. He has and extensive background, not only in expanding broadbang, but also in grant management and capital improvement projects. He lives in Truckee with his wife and daughter.
TPC's Connected Tahoe project will be Fajkos' main priority and they work to expand the high speed internet people in Lake Tahoe have asked for, especially in today's technology driven world.
The center's second change is their new membership in the California Stewardship Network (CSN). The network is comprised of 15 organizations who are focused on the triple bottom line of the community, economy and environment.
CSN is working on some of the state's most pressing problems including equity, housing and workforce, issues important to those living not only around Lake Tahoe, but in the whole state.
