SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - 'Tis the season to enjoy holiday activities around the South Shore, beginning with the lighting of the Christmas trees.
Here are the tree lighting festivities for the family to enjoy over the next two weekends:
November 29
Heavenly Holidays Community Christmas Tree Lighting with Santa in the Heavenly Village at the base of the gondola starts on Friday, November 29 at 5:00 p.m. Gather 'round as Santa lights their monstrous 65-foot lit and decorated locally cut fir tree. Rockefeller enter has theirs, and so does the Heavenly Village. The kick-off ceremony will include caroling, music, and fun for all. There will be nightly Tree Lightings at 5:00 p.m. through the season.
November 30
When you visit Edgewood Tahoe during the holiday season, you can expect nothing less than an idyllic experience of magical memories. Join them in celebration for the start of the season with their 2nd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony featuring live music, carolers, holiday cookie decorating, craft room, pictures with Santa, and more! Starting at 5:00 p.m. with the tree lighting countdown around 6:00 p.m., this event is offered for Lodge guests as well as members of the local community to enjoy. Please note that capacity limits do exist.
December 6
On Friday, December 6, 2019, the Meyers Community Foundation will hold the 7th annual Tree Lighting from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Divided Sky/Downtown Café parking lot. There will be popcorn and hot chocolate. This year, help reduce waste by bringing your own mug for hot cocoa! The Christmas fire truck and Santa will return via the CALSTAR helicopter (weather and circumstance permitting). The event is free and open to the public.
December 7
Everyone is invited to the St. Theresa Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 7. Gather in front of the Church to light the tree at 6:30 p.m. There will be a potluck dinner after the Lighting Ceremony in Grace Hall. Families are asked to bring a dish and drinks to share. If your last name begins with:
