South Lake Tahoe makes Trip Advisor's Top Ten "Destinations on the Rise"

Those of us who live in South Lake Tahoe, or find ourselves visiting often, already know that the region is experiencing a rebirth, one that makes it exciting times to be there.

Trip Advisor customers feel the same way, voting South Lake Tahoe one of the Top Ten destinations in the country that are "on the rise."

Whether you choose to go downhill skiing or snowboarding at Heavenly Valley or Kirkwood Mountain or prefer cross-country skiing at Spooner Lake, a South Lake Tahoe vacation will put you close to it all. If you want to enjoy the nightlife or gambling on the Nevada side, choose to stay in town. Take a break from the slopes to ride the Gondola to the top of Heavenly or take a romantic sleigh ride in the snow. With a backdrop of pristine Lake Tahoe, the town of South Lake Tahoe is an idyllic place to visit anytime of year. Go boating, kayaking or jet skiing on the lake’s South Shore.
