The tournament will feature a two-game, nine-hole tournament with four beer and cuisine pairings throughout the front green of the Northstar Golf Course. Winners will receive tickets to the Wine & Brew Walk event, which takes place Saturday, Sept. 6 during the 29th Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food and Wine Festival.

The Annual Turn 3 on the Green Golf Tournament and BBQ raises funds each each for different groups and projects in need. This year, the Sierra House Elementary (soon to be known as Sierra House Mountain Academy) is the beneficiary for their Grow Dome project.
The public is invited to the afternoon BBQ which will be held at the American Legion starting at 4 p.m. on August 20. This will follow a golf tournament at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course that has a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m.
All funds raised go to the Grow Dome project.

Petty’s essay about her hard work in the classroom, her sports, her faith and goodwill helped secure the scholarship valued at $5,000. Petty plans to attend the University of Nevada, Reno and pursue a bachelor’s degree in science.

Celebrity Golf fans will soon find out how the retired golfer who had to "dust the rust off her clubs" will play at Edgewood in her first American Century Golf Tournament this weekend.
Favored to win the tournament, Sorenstam reminded those at a press conference Thursday that she hasn't played much since retiring, and while she has played under the Stableford method that isn't how she won so many tournaments during her career.

The tournament is held to pay tribute to Hall of Famer and former Oakland Raider and Lake Tahoe resident Gene Upshaw and raise funds for cancer programs and traumatic brain injuries. Upshaw golfed often at the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament in South Lake Tahoe before his sudden death from pancreatic cancer in 2008, just 3 days after being diagnosed.
