21st Annual Boys & Girls Club Golf Tournament

Event Date:
October 13, 2014 (All day)

A $2,500, one week vacation at any Resorts West property in the world. $10,000 for a hole-in-one on all par 3s. 18 holes at Edgewood. Flat screen TV. Closest to the pin awards. Sports memorabilia. Golf trips. Dozens of raffle prizes. Two meals and beverages. Titleist Pro V1 balls. And every dime benefits South Tahoe kids. The 21st annual Boys and Girls Club tournament is October 13 with playing spots as well as sponsorship options now available.

The value exceeds $500, but the fee is just $225 to play with all monies going to help local kids with educational and recreational programs.

There are also sponsorships for each Hole-In-One and all 18 holes. Local businesses who’d like a presence at the event are invited to provide raffle prizes of products, services, meals, overnight stays, or whatever highlights their particular business. Besides benefiting the Club and making a difference in the community, sponsors also receive publicity and recognition for their participation.

The Grand Prize is seven nights accommodations in a two bedroom suite at any one of the 2,700 Resorts West properties worldwide, donated by The Ridge Tahoe.

Hole-In-One sponsorships are $1,800 including a foursome of players and features the opportunity to present an ace maker with $10,000, half going to the Boys & Girls Club. Hole sponsorships are available for $1,500 and include a foursome and exposure in a high profile setting. Non-playing hole sponsorships are available for $900.

To secure a sponsorship to support area kids and to reserve playing spots now, visit: http://bgclt.org/event-registration/ or call the Boys & Girls Club at 530-542-0838. The Club accepts credit cards online or checks.

The Scramble format is a forgiving and pressure-free test for a player over Edgewood’s challenging layout. Lowest team score wins prizes for each player.

Golf prizes include rounds at the Olympic Club in San Francisco; Serrano in El Dorado Hills; three Palm Springs area courses: Mission Hills, Desert Falls and Indian Wells; Arroyo Trabuco in Mission Viejo, CA; and regionally at Clear Creek Tahoe, the Coore-Crenshaw masterpiece 20 minutes from South Shore; and other regional courses.

Other prizes include a flatscreen television from Accurate Audio-Video of South Tahoe; hotel packages with overnight stays and meals from Harrah’s, Harveys, MontBleu and Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel; plus dozens of raffle prizes that include meals, show tickets, wine and spirits and merchandise from area businesses.

“We couldn’t do it without the generosity and the support of Edgewood Companies, our sponsors and volunteers,” said Jeff Tillman, club president. “The golf tournament is successful every year because of our great community.” It raises over $40,000 annually to support the work of the club, which assists over 800 local kids throughout the year.
