In Lake Tahoe to enjoy the snow? Be aware of where you park and play!
Submitted by paula on Thu, 12/27/2018 - 2:44pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The snow has fallen and the kids are out of school so it's time for many to hit the Sierra. Skiers and boarders have the slopes but where do sledders and those just wanting to play go?
Many stop on the highway and pull onto the shoulder (well, sort of) and head to the patch of snow. This behavior is causing problems for law enforcement, other drivers and is an accident waiting to happen.

Road Beat: 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring
Submitted by paula on Thu, 11/29/2018 - 1:06pmThe 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring, Only the performance and fuel economy lets you know it’s a hybrid.
Most of you know I haven’t been a fan of hybrids, but that’s changing and this new Honda Accord Hybrid has put me over the edge, it’s the first hybrid I have ever driven you can’t tell the transition from electric to gas or even start-up that it is a hybrid. The only clue is the phenomenal fuel economy, extreme quiet and ethereal smoothness. You simply can’t feel the integration of the gas motor coming on line. I would buy this hybrid for this and so many other reasons.

Letter: Remember this as fear and bitterness attempt to drive us apart
Submitted by paula on Sat, 10/20/2018 - 8:48amDear South Shore Tahoe,
I attended a forum of City Council candidates this week. As I listened to the candidates, I realized, this is America the beautiful.
Each candidate spoke with integrity, well-founded opinions, intelligence, and (above all else) commitment to our city. Their views were all over the map, each represented different groups across town, defended their positions, advertised their experience. But ‒ most importantly ‒ they were there, giving themselves, in discussion and listening, for our community.
Let’s hold onto this America: E Pluribus Unum ‒ Of Many, One.

Letter: Former candidate reminds voters their voice counts
Submitted by paula on Tue, 08/21/2018 - 7:22pmI ran for Supervisor as I thought I was the best candidate, with the best qualifications, that could solve the issues we face. I am hearing recently that I have endorsed a candidate for the November election. I declare I have not endorsed anyone. There are concerns with each of the remaining candidates. That was my whole motivation for running; to give voters a real choice.
