Two local businesswomen, Marianna Lucido and Suzette Waite, have teamed together to start a new company called Lake Tahoe Cosmetics. Their vision is to offer women a complete, affordable cosmetics line that gives them a finished, glamorous look, and also fits the lifestyle of living in Lake Tahoe. These products are made with the highest quality ingredients that create a light and natural feeling and provide a flawless, long-lasting look that is compatible with our mountain climate.

This was the 16th annual after 4th of July cleanup performed by Skibum Family Inc. Our crew starts at 7AM and empty's all the garbage cans as well as rakes the lawn areas picking up what is left behind by tourists and locals alike. We cover the entire El Dorado Beach walkway, sitting area, BBQ area and boat ramp. We then head down Lakeview Avenue stopping at the side streets to pick up garbage then continue down to Reagen Beach and finish at the wedding park area. STR lets us dump for free. No surprises in the garbage which came in at about 5100 pounds.

Cultivating a passion and appreciation for the outdoors is a year-round task, and Heavenly Mountain Resort is stepping up to the challenge by expanding its summer operations to include more interactive, family-friendly learning experiences.

“Lake Tahoe is a year-round destination, and there is a tremendous opportunity to offer more summer activities at the top of the Gondola,” said Pete Sonntag, Heavenly’s general manager. “Our hope is that visitors of all ages and backgrounds are able to create life-long connections to our National Forests through adventure, play and recreation.”

Owners and managers of Tahoe-based businesses in the Wedding and Honeymoon Industry are invited to enjoy free appetizers, drinks and networking at the monthly meeting of the Lake Tahoe Wedding & Honemoon Association, Villa Roma Restaurant, South Lake Tahoe, 5PM, Wed. April 3.

The Carson Nugget unveiled its newly remodeled banquet facilities to members of the Carson City Chamber “Breakfast Club” this week.

Star Anderson, General Manager of the Carson Nugget told the group; “The old, dated colors are gone and what you see now is a clean, modern facility that can serve a variety of needs from gatherings as small as 10 to as large as 400.” She added; “This type of facility is one that is very much needed in the Carson City area and we are happy to fill that need.”

The owners of two South Lake Tahoe businesses, Paradise Real Estate and Paradise Timeshare-Resale, have moved their offices to new locations at The Shops at Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. Dan Spano, the owner/broker of Paradise Real Estate and Carl Thoms, the owner/broker of Paradise Timeshare Resale have moved into Suites 36C and 37, respectively, in between the Heavenly Village Cinema and the new Lakefront Wedding & Events office and adjacent to the miniature golf course.

With a Lake Tahoe backdrop, Alpine Meadows’ annual Snow Golf Tournament will tee off at 9 a.m. at the top of the mountain off the Summit Express chairlift Saturday, April 21. This highly anticipated spring event features the only mountaintop snow golf course around. It’s the best of both worlds: skiing or snowboarding combined with golf. What better way to spend a beautiful spring day than on the slopes for a game of snow golf?

A Fair Oaks, Calif., couple are starting off life together on a high note by winning a $10,000 Tahoe South Wedding. TahoeWeddings’ Facebook fans voted from three finalists to march the couple down the aisle in Tahoe South.
