South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos lead state in December gaming revenue

South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos took in an impressive amount of gaming business over December and the Christmas holidays, taking in the most gaming win revenue for the month, figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board show.
From Dec. 1 to Dec. 31, 2012, casinos in the Stateline corridor took in $20,952,920, a 57 percent increase over gaming figures for the same period in 2011, according to the Gaming Control Board.
Statewide, Nevada's nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $943,303,871 for the month of December 2012, amounting to 10.24 increase compared to December 2011, when licensees reported a gaming win of $855,660,242. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012), gaming win has increased 2.92 percent.
The Boulder Strip in Clark County had the second highest percentage increase, at 17.38 percent over 2011 figures for the same time period. Carson City and Carson Valley area casinos saw a decrease in gaming "win" for December, pulling in $7,862,056. In December 2011 Carson City area casinos took in $8,230,093 or a decline of 4.47 percent.
