Even though snowfall in South Lake Tahoe was minimal during the most recent storm which is heading out of the region Monday evening, local ski resorts are reporting decent numbers.
It is still snowing at some resorts, but currently Sierra at Tahoe is reporting 20" of snow out of the storm, 16" reported at Heavenly Mountain Resort and Kirkwood is listing 18" of fresh powder.
At lake level, South Lake Tahoe received 3.86" of rain in the last 96 hours. National Weather Service has an interactive tool on line where you can check your local totals.
Clouds will be gone on Tuesday, leaving a week of sunny skies and warmer temperatures. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will have highs of 59-60 and lows 28-31. The next slight chance of rain is on Sunday, February 15, and that is just a 50% chance of 30 minutes of rain.
The outlook for February 17-21 is starting to look promising for a chance of a few inches of snow.
