Sugar Pine tree plantings scheduled

Join the Sugar Pine Foundation as they start their seasonal group plantings.
Community Planting Schedule
Saturday, April 11th, 10 a.m. - noon, 1286 Golden Bear Trail, SLT, CA. - Join Vail employees and South Lake Tahoe Resource Center families to plant sugar pines behind the Lake Valley Fire Protection Station.
Sunday, April 12th, 10 a.m.- 1 p.m., Waddle Ranch, Truckee, CA -
Join SOS Outreach, and California Conservation Corps to plant trees at Waddle Ranch. High clearance vehicles recommended. Meet at the Northstar parking lot, to the right of the first traffic circle.
Saturday, April 18th 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., Foresthill, CA - Join Auburn Kiwanis and Robert Hanna, the great-great-grandson of John Muir. Follow Foresthill road northeast for 19 miles and look for cars and a sign on the uphill side of the road.
Sunday, April 19th, 10 a.m. - noon, 1900 Echo Court, Glenbrook, NV - Join NV Energy and SLT Girl Scouts to plant sugar pines. Meet at the old Kingsbury Middle School.
Sunday, May 20, 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. - Save the date for a planting to set a Guinness World Record for planting trees in 1 hr together with 40 other groups in North America.
Check their calendar often for directions and updates. You are asked to bring closed toe shoes, sunglasses and wear layers, as the weather can be variable. Also, bring lots of water as digging in the dirt can be thirsty work.
